Cegelec, an integrated international group providing technological services to private companies and public authorities, has been awarded a major contract by Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd. (GASCO) to design, supply and install new integrated control systems (ICS) for the gas liquefaction plants of Bab and Asab in Abu Dhabi (U.A.E.). This EPC (engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning) contract, worth US$ 72 million, reaffirms Cegelec’s leadership in the revamping of integrated process control systems for the Oil and Gas industries.
The contract, scheduled to be performed within 28 months, started at the beginning of April and immediately followed another ICS revamping project successfully completed for GASCO on the Buhasa gas plant. Cegelec’s extensive experience and know- how in the management of hot transfers, as demonstrated with the Buhasa ICS project, is of paramount importance for its customers which, in recent years and on similar projects, include GASCO, ADCO, BAPCO, PIC, SAR , Total E&P UK and SAMIR.
