Cegelec, an integrated international group providing technological services to private companies and public authorities, has been entrusted by Gazprom, the largest Russian producer of natural gas, with the automation of a new series of gas production wells, as well as of the network collecting the gas and t ransferring it to its treatment plant, in the region of Astrakhan, in the south of Russia.
This contract, worth 18 million euros, will be carried out over a period of two years and follows a similar project successfully completed by Cegelec in the same region in 2004. Over more than thirty years, Cegelec has gained considerable experience in the design and integration of automation systems adapted to the requirements of the oil and gas sector. Its particular knowledge of procedures applied in this sector and the development of a specific SCADA (ViewStarT ICS) means that it can respond with great flexibility to the specific needs of its clients, particularly in terms of technical performance, environmental and safety constraints.
As a long- term partner of the oil and gas industry, Cegelec is present both upstream (in offshore and onshore exploration and production) and downstream (refining, petrochemicals and chemicals), via the activities of transport, storage and loading of products. By taking on the whole range of operations, from project definition to the maintenance of complete installations, Cegelec has more than 500 references throughout the world.
