Paris, 19 September 2006

Cegelec, an international group providing technological services to companies and public authorities, acquired Ensysta, a Belgian company well-known in the design and build of process installations for the food, pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries.

Ensysta has amongst its customers all the major companies in these sectors including Genzyme Flanders, Inbev, GlaxoSmithKline, Janssen Pharmaceutica, Suiker Unie Centrale, Campina, Vyncolit, Dupont de Nemours, …

The company has a turnover of 30 million Euro and employs 200 people in Belgium, as well as in Shanghai in China. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The teams of Ensysta have a strong know-how of the specific process and technologies of the industries they serve, industries that demand the strictest standards regarding quality. They have acquired over the decades a solid field experience in Europe and all over the world.

The acquisition of Ensysta brings additional skills to Cegelec in the area of production equipment and more specifically in the related automation systems.
