Cegelec to ensure security for the Citadel in Lille

Paris, 15 May 2006

The French Ministry of Defence has recently entrusted Cegelec, an international group providing technological services to companies and public authorities, with security at the Citadel in Lille, a masterpiece of Vauban and home to the headquarters of the High Readiness force - France (PC HRF Army).

This contract, worth several million euros, will be executed on the basis of a very tight schedule allowing for the rise to power of this multi- national headquarters under French command and the final certification of the site in full compliance with the strict security rules of NATO. This contract was granted in view of the prior selection of the Cegelec Secure Solution for many sensitive projects such as the PC HRF Navy and the installations of the French navy, Airbus sites, CEA establishments, and those of the Areva group.

The Cegelec Secure Solution is based on the Evolynx product, a sophisticated and advanced system which can ensure the security of sites facing increasingly critical risks and threats, and can adapt to the wide range of situations. Evolynx includes access control, intrusion detection and video- surveillance functionalities implementing the most recent technologies in an open and evolving system.

For more than 35 years, Cegelec has accompanied the French armed forces in the application of arms and communications systems for the Army, the Navy, the Air Force and military police both on French territory and in foreign missions.
