New building contract of a natural gas
compressor station for GRTgaz
Paris, 20 August 2008
Cegelec, an international group providing technological services to companies and public authorities, signed, in a consortium with Litwin (principal) and Friedlander, a major contract with GRTgaz, a subsidiary of GDF Suez.
This contract, worth globally more than 55 million euros, was won at the end of a European tender process and is for the building of a natural gas compressor station at Saint-Victor, in the Allier department (central France).
The works on the Saint-Victor site, which will be carried out until September 2010, are one of the batches of the second part of the GRTgaz compressor stations upgrading. The first part of the OSCAR programme (Optimisation des Stations de Compression et Adaptation du Réseau – Optimisation of Compressor Stations and Network Adaptation) had already been awarded to the same consortium in December 2006.
As in the 2006 contract, Cegelec will apply a large spectrum of its expertise to this project: design, construction, testing, commissioning and team training at GRTgaz. It will also be able to demonstrate its skills in automatic systems, supervision, instrumentation, electrical engineering, low voltage, HVA, HVB, cathode protection and gas detection.
