in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands
External growth operations add aggregate revenue of 75 million euros and over 600 new employees in one year
Paris, 14 January 2009
Cegelec, an international group providing technological services to companies and public authorities, has strengthened its capabilities and presence in the energy, automation and mechanical equipment markets with the recent acquisition of three companies in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. The new purchases, plus five other acquisitions in France in 2008, bring to eight the number of new entities to join the Group in one year. Together they represent annual revenue of 75 million euros and more than 600 new employees.
Ebehako, based in Zwickau, Germany, near Leipzig, provides electrotechnical solutions in power transmission and distribution (T&D). This strategic sector of the German economy is growing at a sustained pace.
Eurotole, headquartered in Bernissart, southwest Belgium, is a leading mechanical maintenance company. Its expertise allows Cegelec’s Belgian subsidiary to offer its customers an expanded portfolio of multitechnical services.
WMI Liquid Food Systems, located in Veghel, the Netherlands, designs and develops control systems and process installations for the food industry. In an expanding market, the acquisition enhances the operations of Cegelec’s entity Ensysta, acquired in 2006.
In 2008, Cegelec also pursued external growth operations in France, purchasing a total of five companies during the year. The acquisitions deepen Cegelec’s existing skills base and broaden its network of agencies and offices, ensuring a close-to-the-customer presence throughout France.
