Cegelec World 21 - spring 2011

  • Offshore platforms: a dual technical and human expertise. Cegelec deploys dedicated competencies in platforms worldwide for 40 years. The Group strives to meet the key challenges of these facilities: uninterrupted production, safety, supply chain and work organisation.
  • Renewable energies: strong potential, flexibility required. An interview with David de Laire, Chief Technical Officer with Eolfi (Veolia Environment).
  • The CMA CGM tower: a new landmark in Marseilles. Cegelec led the consortium entrusted with the installation of high and low voltage equipment.
  • A strong start for iPerflex in the Gulf States. The Group will deliver all the security infrastructure of eight electrical grid dispatching stations across five countries.
  • Public transport that doesn't waste energy. Cegelec is applying its expertise to the environmental issues of overall power management in public transport.

Cegelec 2010 Group Activity Report

All the major events for Cegelec in 2010. And also:

  • Special report on Kenitra in Morocco, a milestone project for Cegelec. With Moroccan energy demand soaring, national electric utility ONE awarded a consortium comprising GE and Cegelec a contract to design and build a 315 MW thermal power station north of Rabat.
  • A look back at Oscar, an ambitious engineering and environmental project. Carried out in two phases for GRTgaz, design and construction of the first six compressor stations, located across France, were completed in late 2010.
  • Spotlight on flagship multi-technical building projects in Belgium during the year. The major electrical and HVAC orders for the future seat of the Council of the European Union and NATO's new headquarters won in 2010 are the outcome of solid experience acquired in property development by the Cegelec Belgian teams.
  • A closer look at a collaboration with very high value added in French Guiana. Present at the European Space Centre since it was set up in 1967, Cegelec Space's French-German team supports all Ariane launches.

Comsip Services

Comsip Services is dedicated to technical assistance activities. Its own staff of more than 200 reactive experts can be mobilized at short notice all around the world. It is part of Cegelec Oil&Gas, a long standing partner in the oil industry with over 2,000 employees.

Cegelec World n°20

  • Transports: safer, more free-flowing mobility. Safety and traffic flow are among the most important challenges related to intelligent road systems. This business segment is expanding very rapidly, led by fast-growing needs to improve traffic conditions, reduce accidents but also modify driver behaviour.
  • Hospitals in France. Cegelec has equipped itself with a major asset to optimize its positions on the French hospital market: an experience exchange group to pool the Group's fields of expertise and tools.
  • The Miradoux photovoltaic power plant. The project, located in the southwest of France, was set up in partnership with the Caisse des Dépôts with Cegelec contributing its technical know-how in the field of renewable energies.
  • Morocco: pylons that go a long way.
  • Morocco: the Kenitra thermal power station is a large-scale project.

Cegelec World n°19

  • Consuming less, consuming better. Energy efficiency is a core priority which compels us to build and operate buildings in an ecomical and responsible manner. Cegelec is developing its efficiency-minded offer in two business areas: construction and maintenance, through a full range of solutions whose guiding principles are diversity and optimisation.
  • Interview with Regis Dalmas, EDF/CIDEN Deputy Director. Specialized in dismantling nuclear installations, the CIDEN awarded two major contracts to Cegelec in France: one for the ICEDA project at the Bugey site and one in the framework of the future LIDEC in Chinon.
  • Success: Cegelec was chosen to install all the electrical and HVAC infrastructures at the new headquarters of the Council of the European Union and the European Council in Brussels. Prestigious, complex and exemplary.

Activity Report 2009

In a challenging economic environment, Cegelec successfully maintained its operating margin above 5% in 2009, with sales of around 2,8 billion euros. The Group's latest Annual Report shows  how our teams met the constraints and challenges of our customers by highlighting major contracts won or executed during this period. It also gives the floor to several of our colleagues who share their experience, talk about their job, their duties and the Group's values.

Cegelec World n°18

  • Feature story: Water engineering, global expertise. Hydraulic infrastructures and technical equipment require specific technologies and special expertise for their design, implementation, and maintenance. Working in that field for more than thirty years, Cegelec offers a comprehensive expertise and is involved in every area of the water cycle, from pumping stations to wastewater treatment plants, drinking water production plants and water supply facilities.
  • Interview with Vincent Jacques le Seigneur, Secretary General of France’s INES (National institute for solar power). The solar energy market, a market boosted by a combination of political determination and technical progress. From turnkey projects to one-off services, from photovoltaic farms to profitable roofs, Cegelec demonstrates its skills in electricity and full integration.  
  • Prospects: Indonesia, business assets in a buoyant market. In a quarter of a century, Cegelec has managed to build, preserve and strengthen its positioning. Its subsidiary Indokomas focuses its ambitions for growth in three areas: the oil industry, the energy sector and the mining sector.

  • Feature story : security and safety. Our solutions to protect people and property generate close to €200 million in annual revenue. Cegelec enjoys demonstrated proficiency in a full range of these solutions, capable of meeting the needs of public authorities and companies seeking to ensure unfailing protection.

Activity Report 2008

"Cegelec ended 2008 with very satisfactory financial results and a new
shareholder, who has confirmed our independance and strengthened our
positions in certain markets. Following redeployment  of part of our
operations to sectors and countries that are less affected by the crisis
and the broadening of our solutions portfolio in several segments, we are
now moving forward in 2009 with confidence".
