Cegelec and control systems

Leveraging its more than thirty years’ experience in power plant control systems, Cegelec has developed an integrated distributed control system (DCS), whose robust yet flexible design delivers all the functions specific to each user’s requirements.

The system is efficiently implemented by our specialised teams, who can deploy their extensive power plant process expertise on both new-build and refurbishment projects. Each solution is carefully tailored to customer requirements, for example, by integrating legacy systems during refurbishment or by seamlessly integrating the DCS with systems controlling steam-driven processes when equipping a combined heat and power plant.

Among our many control-system contracts was the recent upgrade and extension of a system at a coal-fired power plant in Belgium that has been converted to biomass and the upgrade of the entire SCADA system for an 860 MW coal-fired facility in Ruien, in the western Belgium.
