Cegelec and renewable energies

For many years, Cegelec has supported the environmental approach of a growing number of players interested in generating power from renewable energies.

Thanks to our deep understanding of the industrial process and our extensive network of local agencies, we can meet customers’ requests for comprehensive project management and end-to-end involvement.

We have more than ten years of experience in wind power. In 1997, we invested in and helped commission France’s first wind farm. Today, we hold around 20% of France’s wind power market. We have also carried out or participated in several international projects.

We have steadily added to our portfolio of photovoltaic projects, which include power plants and building-integrated (BIPV) installations, notably for businesses and local communities.

We also have years of experience in hydroelectric power, as a stakeholder in new-build projects around the world and as a partner of choice for refurbishing and upgrading power plants and alternators.

Cegelec has been involved in major cogeneration, biomass and geothermal plant projects and has helped build infrastructure at biofuel production sites.
