As part of a "turnkey" (EPC) contract Cegelec delivered during the first quarter of 2010 the Vridi 2 power plant extension in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. The new, 110 MW unit, built on behalf of Compagnie ivoirienne de production d'électricité (CIPREL), a Bouygues company, is based on a GE 9E gas-fired turbine. As part of this EPC contract, Cegelec is also responsible for the civil engineering.
Cegelec's reference portfolio includes another recent project for an open cycle power plant: the Galion (44 MW), which operates in Martinique (France) since 2007.
