Cegelec is a shareholder of the Rhonexpress consortium responsible for building and operating the express line which will bring Lyon's downtown to its airport Lyon Saint Exupery to a 30 minute journey by summer 2010. The line has a total length of 22 km, of which 7 km to build, and maximum commercial speed will be 100 km.
Cegelec is responsible for the new line’s electrification, which comprises two new sub-stations and the overhead contact line.
