Four contracts for incineration plants in Germany

After winning four waste incineration plant contracts in 2007—in Knapsack, Grossräschen, Emlichheim and Heringen—Cegelec ranks as Germany’s leading supplier of this type of technical equipment.

For the new Evikon waste incineration plant in Emlichheim-Coevorden, located near the Dutch border, the Group was in charge of all technical installations. Equipped with two incineration lines capable of handling 364,000 tonnes of waste, the plant will be one of Germany’s biggest, generating 70 MWh of power. It will be fitted with a large boiler and two steam generators that will produce energy, notably for use in urban district heating systems. Cegelec is a leading partner to the project, providing automation and communication technologies, energy supply plants, and measurement and control systems.
