The biomass power station in Delitzsch, north of Leipzig in eastern Germany, was connected to the power grid in June 2005. Cegelec was entrusted with the design, installation and commissioning of the whole electrical installation and the control and command system. The Delitzsch plant, with a power of 20 MW, will generate 150,000 MWh per annum, which calls for 140,000 tonnes of biomass, mainly wood.
