The experimental chamber, a gigantic aluminium sphere of 10 m in diameter and 100 mm thick, was built by Cegelec for the Laser MegaJoule (LMJ) and successfully inserted in November 2006 in the middle of the experimental hall of the future CEA installation, in Bordeaux (France). This sphere is an industrial challenge: large-thickness welding, absolute cleanliness, earthquake-resistan design, etc; Cegelec has beenn entrusted with the design, construction and installation of this sphere, which is the cornerstone of what will ne the most powerful laser experiment in the world, in 2011.
At the same time, Cegelec teams implement all the electricity for the building that hold the LMJ and Cegelec Secure provides the building's security.
