For many years Cegelec has been involved in the economic and technical development of Morocco.
In particular, Cegelec plays an essential part in the success of rural electrification projects in which it is the leading player in Morocco, working at the rate of electrifying two or three villages per day. Since 2000, Cegelec's Moroccan subsidiary has electrified more than 4,000 villages, with a thousand completed over the last year alone.
