In the area of public transport, Cegelec implements solutions which focus on infrastructures and their operation. Its fields of expertise are electrical supply (traction substations, overhead contact lines, low tension), operating systems (signalling, supervision, communication, security systems) and station equipment (escalators, air-conditioning, lighting, …). Cegelec also contributes to the modernisation of infrastructures dedicated to tramways in Eastern Europe.

In all of these projects, Cegelec plays the role of an integrator and manages the implementation of systems for its customers, using its competence centre dedicated to transport.

• Road infrastructures

In the field of road infrastructures and tunnels, in particular, Cegelec offers a whole range of solutions in the area of electrical and mechanical equipment, in information and security systems, both for new structures and for upgrades. Cegelec has its own SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) integration system enabling optimisation of the complete installation and integration of equipment and the restriction of technical risk. Cegelec has many references in this area, one of them being the renovation of the Mont Blanc tunnel.

• Airport installations and maintenance

As regards airport installations and maintenance, Cegelec is an integrator of electrical, low current and IT systems for passenger airports. Cegelec is also involved in the area of airport security and proposes ready-made offers for runway marking. Cegelec also gets involved with military bases, using its highly specialised skills in the refuelling of planes and solutions for the security and deployment of mobile infrastructures.
