Benelux: european water treatment plants

In just three months Cegelec has received a contract for Veolia Water Systems for substantial works concerning electricity, instrumentation and environmental engineering of two large purification plants in Benelux. To begin with, near The Hague, for the purification plant for waste water from Harnaschpolder, in construction next to that of Houtrust which requires renovation. The two plants are interconnected and, in 2008, will have a capacity of almost 50 million litres of waste water per hour and serve half a million individuals and approximately 40,000 companies. Cegelec was subsequently charged with works within the future purification plant for waste water from Brussels which, on a long-term basis, is to become the largest one in Europe.
