Inaugurated on 31 October 2009, the Mazagan Beach Resort in El Jadida, Morocco, consists of a luxury hotel with nearly 500 rooms, a conference centre, a golf course, a casino and a nightclub. International construction group Besix awarded the HVAC and plumbing contracts for the five-star luxury hotel to Cegelec. The project brought together a supervisory team of 24 people, as well as nearly 400 workers onsite at peak.” In addition to configuring a site with several groups of buildings located some distance from each other and making sure the work progressed at the same pace for all of them, the biggest challenge was getting equipment to the site after it had been ordered in the United States from Taiwan,” commented Project Manager Yann Jezequel. This challenge had to be very carefully managed to ensure that it did not disrupt the unforgiving construction schedule.”
Cegelec subsequently won the HVAC maintenance contract for the resort.
