Cegelec’s presence in French Polynesia dates back to the mid-sixties. Originally designed to provide support to the French Atomic Energy Commission (“Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique”) in setting up the Pacific test Center on the atoll of Mururoa, a subsidiary was created in 1977 in Tahiti.
Cegelec offers a broad and diversified range of services. In this region, the Group has worked on numerous projects in the hotel industry, mainly in Bora Bora and has completed technical infrastructure work for many hotel projects including the Intercontinental, St Regis, and Four Seasons hotels.
In the infrastructure sector, Cegelec has diversified into renewable energies, by participating in the construction of hybrid power plants on the atoll of Tuamotu. This subsidiary provides a whole range of maintenance services that account for 25% of its business activity.
