Cegelec opened a subsidiary in 2002 in Poland to serve both local customers and international clients seeking expansion into Central and Eastern European countries. The Group provides them with the skills and expertise gathered in their competence centres all over the world while offering them a solid local base and market understanding.
Since then Cegelec has opened two more branch offices: in Katowice, specialised in design, testing and commissioning, and in Gilwice, dedicated to maintenance thanks to a growing demand.

Cegelec in Poland has develop its know-how in many areas:

• Electrical installations in industries as wide apart as cement and sugar as well as in hotels and shopping centres
• Automation for production and assembly lines in the automotive industry
• Drives and process control for a hot rolling mill and cosmetics production
• IT and control for energy and petrochemical industries
• SCADA installations for water treatment and oil pipelines
• HVAC installations in both industrial and infrastructure projects
• Industrial maintenance in the automotive, FMCG, food and wood industry

• Predictive maintenance and integrated outsourcing

In 2003, Cegelec chose Poland to open an International Sourcing Office covering the Group's activities in Central and Eastern Europe.
