Qatar

Qatar is blessed with the 3^rd largest Natural Gas reserves in the world and major projects with joint venture of world renowned energy companies are been executed in Qatar’s north fields (Ras Laffan). Qatar has already started executing large scale multi billion projects to become the world’s largest producers of LNG by the year 2012.

On the other hand, Qatar develops its activities in other sectors such as aluminium, fertilizers, and of course oil and petrochemical  industies. and off course Oil production. These major project activities provide a major business prospects for Cegelec in Qatar. Cegelec through its local subsidiary M/s COMSIP AL A’ALI are involved in various projects spanning the fields of Engineering, Installation, and Testing & Commissioning of Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom Installations in Oil & Gas sector. Interesting prospects for the Group!

 

Through its Comsip AL A’ALI subsidiary, Cegelec has been involved in large-scale projects (MEW, QGPC, Total) since 1988.  It is currently in charge of  three important projects mobilising a team of nearly 350 people:

• Electrical & Instrumentation works for M/s Snamprogetti (Italy LLDPE Plant, which is part of Qatofin project
• Electrical, Instrumentation & Telecom works for Ras Gas Common Off plots project, where Comsip is responsible for Engineering (detail design), Supply, Installation & Pre-commissioning of 15  large size Condensate Tanks + 2  Asia’s largest LPG Tanks.
• Electrical, Instrumentation & Telecom works for Pearl Shell GTL C3 project, where Comsip/Cegelec are responsible for Engineering (detail design), Installation & Pre-commissioning of 32 large size Base Oils, Condensate, Fuel & Firewater Tanks.
