Cegelec has a long history in Germany. Its roots are to be found in AEG and the acquisition, in 1996, of its division « Systems & Services ». The company has some 2,100 people in Germany and Austria, and its revenues for 2004/2005 were in excess of 360 million euros.
Cegelec’s activities in Germany are organised around four regional subsidiaries present on 30 different locations:
Cegelec also has a strong competence in the field of oil & gas in the German-speaking markets. The interface is the Cegelec Contracting subsidiary.
Cegelec’s many clients in Germany include the Frankfurt airport, the Elb tunnel in Hamburg, the new football stadiums in Frankfurt, Cologne and Leipzig, DaimlerChrysler in Dusseldorf, the Magdeburg university hospital, the RWE Power AG open cast mine in Hambach, the multi-purpose synthesis system for organic fine chemicals at Schirm AG in Schönebeck, Magdeburg’s first biomass power plant in Lower-Sachsen, as well as E-Plus and other mobile telephone operators.
